Coronavirus Update – 29th May 202029th May 2020
Following the announcement last night by the UK government and Chief Dental Officer, we are delighted to hear that we will be allowed to plan the reopening of the practice from Monday 8th June.
We have been working hard behind the scenes, preparing how we can safely reopen for our patients and staff. We are however still awaiting the finer detail of how we will be able to work with the enhanced infection prevention requirements; personal protective equipment needs and current social distancing standards. Until we know these details, we cannot fully plan our diaries for your return. Please bear with us while we await these details and allow us the time to carefully plan our reopening once these have been assessed.
There are likely to be some changes within the practice in the short term, and for as long as these measures are needed. We are proposing to introduce a phased reopening plan, beginning with seeing those patients with urgent dental problems that we have not been able to see during the period of closure. Following this, we then envisage that we will be able to see patients for more routine appointments.
The safety of our patients and team members are of the upmost importance. We therefore urge you to not attend the practice without a scheduled appointment for the time being to ensure social distancing measures can remain effective.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation whilst we implement new measures at the practice. We are very much looking forward to being able to reopen our doors to you, and would like to thank you for your continued loyalty and patience, during this difficult and challenging time.
We will be in touch as soon as we are ready to see you.
With very best wishes,
Paul, Vinnie, Doug, Charlie and the EPDP Team
